These terms cover how ordering works with PC Finishing. We supply finished componentry to the trade, so these terms are written for cabinetmakers and joiners rather than for consumers. Read them once and they will save both of us a phone call later.
We supply the trade. Ordering through this site requires an approved trade account, and an account is opened in a business name.
Applications are assessed before an account is approved, and we will let you know either way.
An order can be placed online through your trade account, or on a blank order form sent back to us, or over the phone. However it reaches us, it is entered into the same system and treated the same way.
Once you submit an order you cannot edit it. This is why the site asks you to confirm before submitting, and why we recommend saving a draft while you are still measuring. If something has to change after you have submitted, call us straight away. Whether we can change it depends on where the item has got to.
You will receive a copy of every submitted order by email, and so will we. That copy is the record of what was ordered.
We manufacture to the sizes on your order. If a size on the order is wrong, the component will be made to that wrong size.
Check your sizes before you submit. If something on an order looks obviously out of place to us we will usually call before starting, but that is a courtesy and not a check you should rely on.
Panels are priced per finished panel. We do not nest or optimise a cutting list, so give us the finished sizes you need rather than a sheet to cut down.
Colour is set by brand and code. You choose Taubmans or Dulux and give us the exact code, or you supply a sample for us to match. We do not show colour on screen at any point, because a screen cannot be trusted to reproduce a paint colour, and we would rather you specified a code than approved a picture.
Finish is gloss, satin or matte, with a gloss percentage where you need one.
If matching to an existing run matters on a job, tell us on the order and send a sample.
We supply the finished component. We do not supply or fit hardware, and doors are generally supplied without hinge borings and without handle holes, because every cabinetmaker sets those out differently.
If a job needs something outside the standard, put it in the special instructions and we will come back to you before the item goes into the booth.
The paint pipeline runs 10 to 20 business days, depending on category, finish and quantity. It moves with the weather, because two-pack drying is affected by temperature and humidity, so treat the range as a working guide rather than a guarantee.
If a date is critical on a job, tell us when you order rather than after.
You can have an order delivered, or collect it from us at Holden Hill. Choose which when you place the order.
Check your order when it arrives or when you collect it. Finished componentry is easily marked, so it is worth looking at it before it goes on the truck or into the workshop.
Tell us as soon as you find it, and before the component is installed. Send us the order reference and a photograph.
If we have made something to the wrong size, in the wrong colour, or to the wrong profile against what your order said, tell us straight away.
If the order said what was made, that is a different conversation, and we will still help you work out the quickest way forward.
If these terms change we will update this page and change the date at the top. The terms that apply to an order are the ones on this page when the order was submitted.
